This is something that is still in the works but I feel like God has given me enough to write a blog though.
A couple of years ago I felt like God put an urge to start a christian youth band in my heart. I had no idea though that God wanted me to pursue that. (Though the band is not has not formed yet God is working to bring us together). Well last year God gave me a name for the band,the name was Rise. Then over the next couple of days the Lord showed me that it was more than just a name. Here are the things God showed me.
We crucified our flesh by accepting the grace and mercy given to us by Jesus Christ. So now that our flesh is dead we need to Rise up and share the gospel with every tribe tounge and nation and proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord. Along with that we also need to rise above the challanges life throws our way in order to hinder us from sharing the gospel. Also if Jesus didn't Rise up and defeat death he would be able to save us from something he couldn't have athority over.
So "Rise" is more than just a name, it's the reason why this "going to be band" and all christian bands are around. So I'm to encourage you right now. Please Rise up and do what God is calling you to do no matter how difficult it may seem. Rise up saints!
